Welcome to MEI Engineering.

Our Mission

“Our goal is to provide premium engineering services at a competitive price. We will achieve this by establishing long term relationships with our clients, developing comprehensive knowledge of our client's system and maintaining a qualified, proficient engineering and support staff.”

Company Profile

MEI Engineering's roots go back to 1954 when Gordon R. Maier began his career as a Consulting Engineer. He established his own practice in 1970, specializing in service to rural and municipal electric utilities. Maier Engineering was incorporated in 1978 to continue that practice in corporate form.

Branch offices were established in Bismarck, North Dakota in 1986, Inver Grove Heights (Minneapolis), Minnesota in 1988 and Bemidji, Minnesota in 1991. In 1998 Gordon Maier retired. Maier Engineering was purchased by its key employees and MEI Engineering, Inc. was formed. MEI Engineering has principal owners located in Fargo and Mandan, North Dakota.

MEI Engineering is a medium sized firm, geared for long-term, close working relationships with our clients. We are determined to maintain the philosophy of personal professional attention as we grow. The quality of our engineering services is based on the Professional Engineer's relationship with the client, his knowledge of electrical engineering and a thorough knowledge of the client's system and its operation.

We at MEI Engineering are proud of our unique blend of professional philosophy and engineering expertise, and the resulting record of client satisfaction.
